*Updates*

Hey guys, I haven't posted on this blog page in A LONG time. So I'm just going to do a little update. I've got 2 blog pages: this one, and my animal crossing blog page which you can click here to look at it: http://wowitshannieacnl.blogspot.co.uk/

I feel really bad that I haven't been able to update both blogs properly. So I'm going to work hard in getting them sorted out now. I'm currently working on writing some game walkthroughs out until I can afford a decent capture card. Right now, I'm working on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It's one of my favourite games and I know it off by heart now so, you can look forward to that. I will post that on this blog. I do have some capture cards but unfortunately one of them only works on Windows Vista but my computer is Windows 7 so, I can't use it :C

Animal Crossing: New Leaf

Happy New Year everyone! Sorry it's late, I really need to start blogging more often. My topic today is Animal Crossing: New Leaf (Which is what it's going to be called in USA) hopefully it'll be called that in Europe. I hated how they changed it to: Let's go to the City! instead of City Folk. WHAT'S WRONG WITH KEEPING IT AS CITY FOLK IT'S A MOUTHFUL SAYING LETS GO TO THE CITY!
Moving on..

New Leaf looks very promising. And today's blog post is going to be very long and will be full of tons of information I've found out about the new game!

OKAY. SO YOU'RE THE MAYOR?

It seems that at the beginning of the game, once you've done the questions, told Rover where you're going. Yadada, outside the station, Shizue, is waiting along with the villagers and they welcome the new mayor! Which is apparently, you! This new feature to the game is by far a good idea and I clap to those back in nintendo who thought of the idea, because I think it's brilliant. Of course, if some players don't want to be the mayor then they don't have to, so it's a choice thing, but you do have a choice of how the town is going to look like if you're the mayor.

The mayor can choose 'community projects' to decorate the town with items such as: Benches, lamp posts, arches, well, clock etc. There is more to find out about this as we actually uphold the game which will be interesting to find out. I'm trying my hardest to not google it and find japanese photos of new items to spoil it for me.

I wanted to quickly mention something that I noticed about the game. They've brought old features from the Gamecube version which made me very happy. Some of these features are: The train/tram station, police station (it is a community project that only the mayor can choose), Island and the winter and summer campers. These are the things I did enjoy about the gamecube that they never put in future games until now. THANK YOU NINTENDO.

I remember back at E3 2010 (I wasn't there personally but watching it), when the first preview of Animal Crossing 3DS was shown and to some people they were quite anxious at the persons change of body. I at the time actually thought it was great because you can now see clothes and designs better and the person actually looks that little bit realistic now. I'm sure people who did think this way have changed their heart now, however, there is some who are probably do still feel the same way. I'm sure everyone will be happy with the outcome when they have the chance to play. Mentioning designs, you can now wear different shoes with socks, wear trousers, shorts, skirts (I'm not sure if guys can wear skirts but I'm sure they can? that would be a little sexist nintendo?). I enjoyed designing shirts on wild world and I'm quite excited to started designing on new leaf and allowing others to see my designs and if they like it, they can scan it and have it themselves! As well as clothes, there is new hair styles, colours and you can now change your eye colour! of course all of these features have to be unlocked until you get to a certain point in the game. I don't know if europe will start you off with coloured eyes or keep them black I'm not sure.

Different eye colours

A little feature that they also added were the size of your villagers. Tiny squirrels are now smaller than those who are elephants of big bears. This again makes the game more realistic and I think it's a nice feature to see people taller than you then everyone exactly the same height. Variety is good!

The map of the town has changed drastically compared to the past. And I was a little confused as to how it would work at first but now, I like it! Here's a photo to show you the maps from the gamecube, ds, wii and the 3ds:

There is probably loads more features that I've missed out or forgotten but if anyone is wanting to watch any translation videos or just to see what the game is like I would youtube: LinandKo and watch their New Leaf videos from the beginning onwards, Their videos are brilliant and they explain all kinds of new things that New Leaf has to offer and translates the text in to english so you can understand!
Here's their youtube:

P.S. All the photos I have on this blog is what I've found off google. I don't own any of them.

Should I make a seperate blog just for Animal Crossing: New Leaf?

I'm debating whether I should keep this blog account for walkthroughs and link it to my youtube account and make another blog page just for Animal Crossing: New Leaf. I think I will make a new blog account for Animal Crossing :3

とびだせどうぶつの森| Tobidase Doubutsu no Mori

So, it's been 10 days since Animal Crossing: Jump Out has been released. It has been announced that the NA version of the Animal Crossing series will be called Animal Crossing: New Leaf. I hope the european version doesn't change this to something along the lines of "Let's turn over a new leaf!" because seriously, was there any need to change the name from City Folk to "LET'S GO TO THE CITY".... enough of the rant.So far, there has been no confirmation what the official date is, when the game will release apart from 'Early 2013'. This could be counted from January to late June. Since I live in the UK, I will have to wait for the european version of the game, which will mean I'll have to wait a bit longer since the game will have to be translated to around 6 different languages. I understand totally about the process of translating but I'm literally grinding my teeth away waiting for this game to be released. I've been waiting since E3 2010 and being told to wait till 2013.. makes me speechless. But I understand and I will keep anticipating until it's confirmed.

Looking at the japanese commercials for this game and looking at some videos some users have posted, I'm thinking a lot of animal crossing fans will be pleased with the outcome and the wait will most definitely be worth it. There's many new features to the game (which I don't want to spoil for others and myself). I think the top features is the new storyline of being the mayor and doing community projects to make your town better. I'm really excited to go wi-fi as the minigames on the island seem really good! Of course there is more of a customisation for a lot of things like your character and your house interior and exterior. What I first pointed out in the trailers was the new hair colours and eye colours. I watched soo many videos now that I've had to force myself to stop because I will just spoil the game for myself and it won't be worth the wait!

I've been reading a couple of forums on http://www.animalcrossingcommunity.com/ and the first thing was "Oh my god, what am I going to name my town?". SO, after about a week, I decided I'm going to name my town Misawa, after the place in Japan (I just like the sound of it :3) and if we get to name the Island then I'll name it Outset, after the Zelda game Wind Waker. If anyone reading this blog has an animal crossing community my account is (of course) WowItsHannie.

So, hopefully, time will fly and we'll all be playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf soon!

The Sims 3 for 3DS 7/08/12

I recently purchased The Sims 3 for the 3DS and I've become rather addicted to it! I only had 1 3DS game for my 3DS so one day whiles shopping I decided to buy Sims 3 merely for the reason it was amazingly cheap (£9.99). At first, the game took awhile to get used to with the odd controls but I soon got used to it. I thought I should just quickly blog about it because it is a really good game and is very cheap so if anyone is thinking of buying it I highly recommend! I may write a review about it later on but for now I've put a couple of screenshots up! Bye for now!

New Animal Crossing 3DS Trailer from Nintendo Direct June 2012

I've always been an Animal Crossing fan ever since my sister showed me it back in 2006. The first game I ever played was Wild World and I remember getting all my friends to buy it so we could visit each others town. After that, I then got the Gamecube edition which started off the franchise and although I wasn't addicted to it as much as the DS Version, there was soo much to do, I spent over 4 hours playing it one day. Finally, christmas of 2008, I got the Wii edition and I still play it to this day! But now that Animal Crossing 3DS is on it's way, I'm afraid to say I'm abandoning my wii and picking up my 3DS!

My friend had sent me the new trailer that had been released a couple of days ago and whiles watching it, I was soo excited. The developers of the game have really improved it by adding little touches of each game (Gamecube: train, Wild World: DS console, City Folk, City/Mall idea) yet adding their own touches like being the mayor! Poor Tortimer, what's going to happen to him? There is probably much more to discover since nintendo can't just reveal everything to us!
Since the trailer is in japanese, I did find a audio and text translation by the youtube name 'AggressionSsbb' which you can watch right here:
